Terms of Service

Welcome to SochPlay. By creating an account or joining a game you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully — they're written to be short and clear.

1. Who can use SochPlay

• Teachers: you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your country) to create an account.
• Students: you can join a game with a PIN at any age, with the permission of your teacher or guardian. You only need to type a nickname — no account.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
• You may not share your account with others or impersonate someone else.
• You may delete your account at any time by emailing hello@sochplay.com.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload illegal, hateful, harassing, or sexually explicit content.
• Use SochPlay to bully, dox, or harm other people.
• Try to hack, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Send spam, malware, or run automated bots against the service.
• Use SochPlay in a way that violates the law in your country or your school's policy.

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the quizzes, questions, and images you create. You give SochPlay a limited license to store and display them for the purpose of running your games. You are responsible for having the right to use any content you upload (including images).

5. Free service & changes

SochPlay is currently free for teachers. We may introduce paid features in the future and will give clear notice before any pricing changes. We may also change, pause, or discontinue features at any time.

6. AI-generated content

Some questions can be created by an AI generator. AI output may contain mistakes — please review questions before hosting a live game. You are responsible for the questions you publish to your students.

7. Privacy

Your use of SochPlay is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we use it.

8. Disclaimer & liability

SochPlay is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months (which, for the free plan, is zero).

9. Termination

You may stop using SochPlay at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, the rights granted to you end immediately.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Kathmandu, unless local consumer-protection law gives you a stronger right elsewhere.
